I came home last night after walking around on Michigan Avenue eyeing the finer things in life, and was overwhelmed by a need to get myself some sexy shoes. Although I’ve never worn high heels much, it’s probably because I never really had any. I have a pair my mom bought me a couple years ago when I had to go to a family wedding, and they’re like 2 or 2 1/2 inches at most. I wanted some real high heels (not stilettos) so I went online and bought a pair. I figure I’m getting older and I’m starting to shed my tom boy ways (lol) and if I had a pair of decent heels in my closet, I just might wear them. Too bad my closet is too small to buy much. Maybe I just need to clean out all the old sneakers to make room for more heels?
The assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto last night triggered violent convulsions across the country.
This was a woman, in a difficult country, that was an advocate of democray. Is this the death of democracy in Pakistan? or the turning point for country with nukes? The last thing in the world any of us needs is a power hungry dictator to swoop in on such an opportune time and create a new regime. Let’s hope this isn’t a step backwards for a country that was moving forward. Rest in peace, Benazir.
Here’s a couple of my favorite snackers to make. Either wehn the girls are over, or when Matt has the guys over to watch a game…
